Utilize the power of the sun to heat your domestic hot water. Our collectors are also suitable for commercial applications including residential buildings, car washes, and boiler systems.

Our collectors can be integrated with your existing hot water system to accommodate up to 80% of your hot water requirements. In addition to domestic hot water system, our collectors may also be used in radiant floors and base board heating systems.

Solar Flat Plate collectors are typically recommend for use in warmer climates simply because they are designed with larger absorber areas that are not insulated from the colder weather. The SunMaxx evacuated tubes prove to be more efficient in colder climates and are recommended for use is these areas.

SunMaxx Flat Plate collectors are specially designed to maximize the absorption and retention of solar radiation.  As Light passes through the low-iron glass covering and strikes the black chrome selective coating, the light is absorbed as heat.  The special black chrome selective coating allows the collector to absorb a wider range of wavelengths, and the low-iron glass covering is allows the maximum amount of light to enter the collector because it has the highest transmission and therefore lowest reflection properties for glass.

As the absorber plate heats up it begins to radiate energy as infrared (IR) or heat radiation. Glass is essentially opaque to IR wavelengths so the heat is trapped increasing the temperature within the collector.  Therefore, these collectors create a greenhouse effect which maximizes the amount of solar radiation entering the collector, and minimizes the amount of solar radiation that is able to exit.
