Specifically for Silicon Solar customers who want the savings, efficiency, and cost-effective operation of a solar hot water heating system, but have an exisitng hot water storage tank, and do not want to make the additional investment of a solar hot water storage tank, Silicon Solar now offers Heat Exchanger Solar Hot Water Heating Systems.  This system combines a single SunMaxx 20 Evacuated Tube Solar Collector, a Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger, and many of the major components needed to have your solar hot water heater installed quickly and easily.

The 65 Gallon Heat Exchanger System is perfect for smaller familes of 3, or even 4, people, and is designed with industry leading SunMaxx Evacuated Tube Solar Collectors.  This system takes only mere feet of roof space to install, and your entire system can be up and running in just a single day.

Solar Hot Water Storage Tanks are expensive, becuase they often incorporate 1 or more internal heat exchangers.  But, if you have just purchased a brand new hot water storage tank, or your existing tank is more than adequate, the additional cost of a second hot water storage tank can be prohibitive.  Enter the external heat exchanger:

Similar to the coil heat exchangers found inside many solar hot water storage tanks, external heat exchangers allow for a safe, efficient transfer of heat between the glycol mixture in your collector loop, and the potable water in your domestic supply, saving you hundreds of dollars on the purchase of a new hot water storage tank when it is not needed.

Requirements:
Roof Space :      The Solar Collectors require 36 square feet of roof space Orientation: In the Northern Hemisphere, the collector should face South; in the Southern Hemisphere, the collector should face North.  Click Here for Additional Help

Collector Tilt :     Optimum tilt for the solar collectors is equal to the latitude of your location. However, a few degrees (1 - 10) is hardly the additional cost to correct.
